The Route 440 strip in Jersey City sees some
of the most accidents in Hudson County.
“A one-mile stretch of Route 440 in Jersey City saw more crashes in 2019 than any other section of state or interstate highway in Hudson County.
There were 241 crashes – 51 of which resulted in injuries – on Route 440 between Communipaw Avenue and an unnamed road just north of Kellogg Street.”
